This really is a good deal. I saw it separately and came to make sure it was posted on SD. It was a toss up between this and a Schiit Magni amp. I listened to both for about a week. I think I liked the sound from the Liquid Spark a little more but I ended up returning it only because it was $129 at the time. I would have kept it at this price.

Man These monoprice deals lately, been seeing this one go lower and lower each time, im assuming that this amp is slowly being faded out since the design is a little on the older side now.

Its about 5 years old now and a lot of better amps have come out since. For $60-ish dollars its still a decent price for entry level today, but theres def better designs now. This was a relatively serious amp when it came out and is still pretty powerful by todays standards @1.5W 32ohm output but noisefloor is noticeable at lower wattage. Its better for driving headphones than IEMs and earbuds. Still a decent performer and at this price not much else to compete w/.

Is something like this worth owning if the nicest headphones I own are Sony wh‑1000xm3's? Or would I not hear much of a difference because those cans are powered already?

Wireless headphones don't need amps. Would probably also need to use them wired which defeats the purpose of the headphones in the first place.

Excellent value. If you were paying full price, I'd say go for the $109 Schitt Magni Heretic (https://www.schiit.com/products/magni-plus) which I think is best in class in the "Amps around $100" category.

But the Monoprice spark is very close and for $68 shipped, that's unbeatable value.
