You are mostly correct. In most cases, this practice stopped on April 1st, 2019. However, digital game codes are still included with PS5 console and game bundles. They don't give a physical copy of this game with the PS5 console/God of War Ragnarok bundle. I assume they do this so people can't trade it in or sell it and bring the price of the game down.

Man I hate that my ps5 came with a code for this game instead of a physical copy. I would gladly sell my code for this price so I can buy the disk 😂

These are from people reselling the bundled code. Cdkeys doesn't sell any other ps5 game codes because it's true that Sony completely stopped the practice otherwise.

OMG, am I the anomaly? I bought the PS5/GOW disc combo from Best Buy in December and mine came with a physical disc. The VR2/Horizon combo came with a digital code though. What's the difference between the disc and digital game? I had to update the game before playing anyways.

That was likely a Best Buy internal combo deal where they included two SKUs/ items in one price deal. Check your receipt.

Bundles are commonly referred to the console boxes that have a piece of printed artwork with a digital code for the bundled game. Bundles are rare and mostly for AAA games.

Combo deals can be mixed any which way.

Its been a few years, if you noticed none of the major retailers sell digital codes for PS4/5 games. I used to get deals off amazon for a long time now you have to buy them from Sony.

Yeah, it's BS. Giving up physical ownership means no resale, while simultaneously cutting their logistics costs.

You can find codes cheaper on eBay. There's at least a dozen listings for $40 or less buy it now.

I heard somewhere that this type of keys are bought by stolen CC and then the CC companies recover those money from Developer companies stating as fault transaction. So, I don't know if this CDKEYS is the same piracy company or not, I don't have time to research about that. So, please stop yourself from encouraging piracy if it is piracy.
