A quick explanation to an agent, and they'll refund the whole order value immediately as a credit, re-send the whole meal if time allows, or give you a refund that processes in a few days.
What more could anyone ask for? I saw people saying Uber had better support. WTF?!? I swore them off completely, their only support is email based, so you get an email the next day saying "Our bad sorry!" As far as what they DO to make things right, the answer in my cases was absolutely NOTHING at all...
Use who you like, in my market we don't have surcharges, and markups from menu prices are fairly light (0-10%, with a few exceptions like PF Chang's at ~20%). Being single and cooking for 1, using DD 1-2 times a week is an indulgence I value. Knowing you can get immediate help if there's a screw up is a big part of that.
Now if I can just find a few of these elusive 20% off cards. I have a deal alert set up, and haven't seen a deal better than 15% off.
Edit: Should also add that I have a DashPass through my CC, which drops delivery to $0 and the service fee to 5%. So if you're ordering from a no markup restaurant like Cheesecake Factory, the premium is 5% plus tip. Then deduct any GC savings if applicable.
If somebody's closest restaurant is a 15 minute drive with car from where they live, then that would be a vastly different situation compared to somebody like me who lives in a city where there is probably at least 100 restaurants within short walking distance.

I can't justify paying $10 extra to have $15 of Taco Bell delivered to me when it's a 5 minute drive each way.
When I'm making more than $60 cash an hour, yeah I can see myself changing my money for time like that.
The thing though is you're being upcharged on every item, so if you spend $40 worth of stuff, the expected tip is hire and the upcharge is going to be about $10 on top of that, so you're looking at $20 in extra fees. Idk how people do it.
I just tested at the Taco Bell and it goes from $17.28 to $26.51 before adding in any sort of optional (obligatory)
