This is not Unethical SlickDeals, please don't do this.
People who have credit for door dash or who can get a better deal with this discount.
People who want to save on the delivery fees. Especially if the place you're ordering from is nearby

Of the 5 or so orders that DoorDash or the restaurant messed up (out of a few dozen or so), doordash has always made it right by refunding the entire order and letting me keep the food rather than a partial refund. I've been satisfied with their customer service so far. YMMV, naturally.
Agreed. Key is to get to an agent. Sometimes it will give you a small credit offer if a sauce or side dish is wrong or something. Yet there are lots of "Small" mistakes that can utterly ruin a meal. Failure to follow special requests or allergy guidelines among them.

A quick explanation to an agent, and they'll refund the whole order value immediately as a credit, re-send the whole meal if time allows, or give you a refund that processes in a few days.

What more could anyone ask for? I saw people saying Uber had better support. WTF?!? I swore them off completely, their only support is email based, so you get an email the next day saying "Our bad sorry!" As far as what they DO to make things right, the answer in my cases was absolutely NOTHING at all...

Use who you like, in my market we don't have surcharges, and markups from menu prices are fairly light (0-10%, with a few exceptions like PF Chang's at ~20%). Being single and cooking for 1, using DD 1-2 times a week is an indulgence I value. Knowing you can get immediate help if there's a screw up is a big part of that.

Now if I can just find a few of these elusive 20% off cards. I have a deal alert set up, and haven't seen a deal better than 15% off.

Edit: Should also add that I have a DashPass through my CC, which drops delivery to $0 and the service fee to 5%. So if you're ordering from a no markup restaurant like Cheesecake Factory, the premium is 5% plus tip. Then deduct any GC savings if applicable.

Guess it depends on how much you value your time and money. Most people have to drive to get something to eat. 10-15 minute drive each way another 10-15 getting the food and paying. That's about an hour lost at $15 an hour it's $9 plus your gas and wear and tear. Walking probably uses as much time. Huge opportunity cost.
Of course, everybody's individual circumstances will vary.

If somebody's closest restaurant is a 15 minute drive with car from where they live, then that would be a vastly different situation compared to somebody like me who lives in a city where there is probably at least 100 restaurants within short walking distance.

Oh I didn't think of that. What credit card? Might have to get that.
I have Chase Sapphire Reserve. I think it's available for Preferred as well.

Per online ordering system " This coupon only works for pick up."

Pick up or delivery? Who orders through door dash and then picks it up themselves?
When my wife and I had our first kid, lots of people sent us GCs to doordash instead of cooking dishes. We had quite a bit of money to use. We used the pickup option to get 5% back on each order.

So true.
I can't justify paying $10 extra to have $15 of Taco Bell delivered to me when it's a 5 minute drive each way.
When I'm making more than $60 cash an hour, yeah I can see myself changing my money for time like that.

The thing though is you're being upcharged on every item, so if you spend $40 worth of stuff, the expected tip is hire and the upcharge is going to be about $10 on top of that, so you're looking at $20 in extra fees. Idk how people do it.

I just tested at the Taco Bell and it goes from $17.28 to $26.51 before adding in any sort of optional (obligatory)

I hope you people realize that even if you do pickup you are paying extra because doordash's menu items have a built in upcharge of 15-50% almost all of the time. So unless you have a solid 20% or more deal already you should never use pickup through doordash.
