Yes, they will do it with no issues, but the store won't have nearly the profit so they won't be excited for the work... Also, they WILL NOT ALWAYS be able to match the discount even though they will always say they can (in general)! I've bought a lot from the Carmel, Indiana discount tire and it's a truly great shop, but they have twice refused to match a Costco deal and their own deal on ebay, but they have been nice about it and given me their bottom dollar. They have a minimum margin to maintain.

Always CALL AND ASK before you buy on eBay if they can match the exact price and make them check, request a manager if they won't agree to the price on the phone.
They'll install any tire. It's just Discount Tire's prices are usually so good it makes sense to buy from them if possible. They're my favorite tire vendor. Clean waiting rooms, great road warranty, and usually very quick.

Anyway, I was about to start calling them to see if they would give me this deal since I just spend $1000 on tires with them last week, but the tire my Audi uses wasn't on the "qualified" list. Oh well...still got a $70 rebate from Continental
My local Discount Tire told me they will price match these online prices any time.

Still more expensive than buying a Costco membership and buying the same tires in store. I need some 235/60/R18s XL tires and they're $200 cheaper at Costco. $300 once you factor in installation.

Anyone know if Discount Tire Discount carry Sumitomo tires? For a budget all season tire, I really had good experiences with the HTR A/S P03.

Of course they can't compare to something like the ExtremeContact DWS or Pilot Sport AS4. But they are 100X better than the crap no name brands you get for around the same price. But I can't seem to find any HTR A/S P03 from their ebay site.
Not really a fan of Sumitomo tires. They're cheap, but often the treadwear rating is lower, which makes up the difference in savings.

For a cheaper brand, I prefer Hankook. They had this model called the Concept H457 that was an awesome value for a while, but they went up in price.

My preferred brand is General Tires. Their AS-03 and AS-05 are great choices. They have excellent treadwear, good rain and snow traction, and aren't noisy. Probably the best value for tires IMO cuz they can compete with Continentals.

For upper tier I prefer Continentals over Michelins. Continentals are often the highest rated tires in the category, and Michelin you pay a lot for the name.

I've had cheap brands before like Wanli, Nankang, some Chinese tires. Good prices, but not worth it IMO. Those tires don't get great traction, wear badly, and get pretty noisey by the end. Not really a fan of Kumho either for a known brand.

I think DTD artificially increases their prices for these types of promos too. But it could just be inflation.

Yeah, if you're going with name brand Michelins, Costco usually has a good deal on those which include installation.

I used to be able to get a mount and balance for $15 at a local used tire place, but they're up to $25 now at most of them. The only issue with costco is you're probably gonna have to get dropped off or spend an afternoon there cuz they won't do it for several hours.

Where I live, you're going to spend hours at almost all big for ships if getting new tires. As I would rather be able to get tires repaired or changed while traveling, I don't mind waiting a few hours every few years. I've managed a couple of tire stores and it takes about an hour to remove the tires/rims, separate them, refresh the TPMS, install the new tires, balance the tire/room, and remount everything. It can be done faster, but I would rather not risk messing up someone's rims to save 15 minutes.

Costco provides free tire rotation too ( again considering membership is maintained)

IMO Costco has great deals on higher end tires. They have Michelin specials, where after you factor in labor, it's easier just to go there and buy them than to buy separately and try to find someone to install them.

If you're trying to buy low end to mid tier tires, it's probably cheaper to get them elsewhere.

So basically if you're buying Michelins, just go to Costco.

If you're buying Chinese tires go somewhere else. And Chinese tires aren't all that bad sometimes.

Yeah, it depends on how valuable your time is. My time is probably not that valuable. But I don't buy expensive tires, so Costco ends up being significantly more expensive.

I usually buy my tires in pairs because my car is a bit complicated. The used tire places can mount and balance in 15-20 minutes. My boss went to Costco for a set of Michelins and I forget how long it took but I think there was a 2-3 hour wait before they could even start.

I think my boss paid like $190 a tire because they had a Michelin special. I usually try to spend around $80, but he drives an SUV and I have a 4 banger.

I am very wary on these ebay sellers. Last time I purchased from an ebay seller that wasn't discount tire direct, I received a "new" tire that was about 5 years old.
Check the seller's policy. They usually have a disclaimer stating they will not accept returns for tires under X number of years, usually around 5 or 6.
The way they sell "discounted" tires is usually new old stock that the reputable brands will refuse to sell.
I now stick to discount tire direct, or tirerack now.
True, you should always research the seller. In my case.. that looks to be https://shopcwo.com/. I'm buying a recently released tire and their reviews are pretty good. Low risk purchase. Saved a couple hundred dollars.

Costco for some reason does not have any tire for my SUV. So I bought 4 Michelin Cross Climate 2 with $200 discount which is a pretty sweet deal for this set of tires. The original set of Michelin tires that came with the SUV is already near the end of life with >30K miles, which were only rated for 40K. Need a new set of tires before a short road trip, thanks OP.

I would goto discount tires. It's much easier to work with them and they are like every where.

Look how busy Costco day in and day out. If you have issues with your tire. Do you really think they will look or work on it the same day?

Took this deal to my local Discount Tire and they price matched the prices of the tires and not only price matched the 200$ coupon off but also beat it somehow, when the guy showed me the screen it was cheaper than my ebay cart... including installation... then he hooked me up with cheaper warranty, decided to go with them... ask for the manager, it'll help

I go online at discounttire.com and price the same exact set of wheels with installation and warranty for my Genesis Sport that has a Staggered setup, and it was $1450 , and in store was $1050 with the price match and $200 off....
I did online price match with DT and was offered only 50% off the discount (only $50 off $500). They said the promotion is shared with ebay 50:50.

I was able to get 4 Michelin CrossClimate 2 price matched at TownFair tire in Central MA. Called them first and they asked me to print out the eBay ad showing the discounts and worked out.

They offered me a $200 rebate back matching the eBay $200 off code and also starting today Michelin is offering a $110 reward gift card rebate after spending $850.

Link below showing Michelin rebate.

Would the Michelin $110 rebate work for (4) cross climates purchased from Discount Tire on eBay?
