I bought a new black Gibson SG Standard from this company, for $900, less than ten years ago. It has the small pickguard and came with the etune system but it came with a case. I'm not buying another unless they come back somewhere near reality. It's still too much for right now, at least for a standard.

i had this for about 10 years and it didnt sound great to me compared to my other (cheaper guitars) i finally sold it recently for 1500, and i got a ltd ec 256 used for 299 and i love the sound and feel better than i ever did with my gibson. The ltd 1000 is next for me. that must be a fantastic guitar.
I know what you mean. I have an LTD EC 256 and absolutely love it. Swapped out the pickups for some DiMarzio super distortions and play it thru a Marshall. Gives me that sound I've been dreaming of. My Gibson stays in its case.

Bought a cherry SG in the early 2000s. Came with a hard case. This is a joke

Price seems pretty crazy to me but I haven't bought a guitar in awhile. Are all SG's neck heavy btw? That's why I sold mine but it was during the etune Gibson era so not sure if that extra weight threw it off (got a great deal though since all gibsons sold poorly then lol). Was nice to try one for awhile but the weight balance made it unenjoyable to sit and play.

This deal is no good considering they are not included the hard case. That's a package deal IMO and is a joke they are not including at this price

$259 in 1964 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $2,499.52

You overpaid 😉

Love SGs. Fav guitar ever was a white fujigen epiphone. Have played classics, standards, 61 reissues, and currently play an 05 platinum.
Nice! Quite the extrapolation, eh?
