I know many of these wall outlet/charger posts have become common on SD as of late, but I bought this one here and love the fact that it is one of the few (esp at this price) that has a recessed design... so, even with a wall outlet cover, this adapter is recessed on the back, so it fits flush on the wall and it also has the all-important center screw so it *stays* in the wall and does not pull out with your cords. I liked it so much, I just ordered 2 more at this price.

EDIT - Just a quick FYI. These multi-outlet deals from these generic manufacturers often bring up questions about UL/ETL certification. Thanks to SD Community Member sonnychiba; he was able to find the specific ETL/Intertek listing for this QINLIANF multi outlet. [intertekconnect.com]

    Lemme know how you like it. I won't buy one w/o the center screw (dealbreaker as they say) - but this recessed back is also becoming a deal breaker for me, as well.

    It means that it should be able to fit over the wall plate and still be flush to the wall. Typically, with these types of outlet expanders you have to remove the wall plate in order for it to be flush (or close to flush) to the wall.

    Yes, but they don't have the recessed back. I posted this because it has 4 usb ports, surge protected 5 outlets, the important center mounting screw AND the recessed back that allows it to fit flush to the wall even w/ your outlet cover in place. So, can you find a multi-outlet with a night light AND a recessed flush-fitting back at this price? If so, then please by all means provide a link.

    if you get one that is not recessed, you can take the plate cover off, adjust the outlet in (breaker off suggested) and use this one as the cover. I did and it looks pretty flush.

    I don't disagree with you, however, the plate covers are fit very tight and are made of very fire-resistant plastic. I'd prefer to use a plate cover AND the multi-outlet, if that's an option. I prefer not to take the plate covers off if I do not have to. So, yes, your idea is one solution for sure... but many people (like me) prefer not to remove those fire-resistant plate covers.
