Is it even smart buying an outlet that's not UL listed?

you didn't need to hurry - it's been bobbing between $12 and $16 for the last six months.

Got similar to these on all my outlets. Love em. Mine has adjustable night lights with auto mode as well.

I ordered this a month ago for the same price, and previously ordered a similar one a while ago. Both of them just fell straight out of the outlet with little provocation. The weight of any plugs is more than enough to do it. The center screw is absolutely necessary but since I have the rectangular decorator outlets the center screw wouldn't work. If you have the duplex outlets where the wall plate screws on in the center you can use it but it probably won't work well with the decorators where the wall plate mounts are on the top and bottom.

I currently use a different one with USB ports but all the outlets are on the front and next to each other so oversized plugs crowd each other. I'd like one like this where the outlets give more space but I've been 0/2 with this design.

In my experience, these are badly designed (not this brand specifically, but the design itself that many folks make). The back plate eventually snaps off from the weight of the plugs and exposes all the electrical cables. Big safety issue. I had 3, all are now trashed.

I have 4 of these. Bought two of them and liked them so much I bought two more. I have had zero problems with any of them. One is plugged into the outlet powering my TV and everything in the entertainment panel. Another is under my desk powering a gaming desktop, work laptop, phone charger, and a lava lamp.

Highly recommend.

Thanks OP! Bought 4 last week, returned and reordered. Saved $16 and got $3 digital credit.

Ordered last month. Works great. Unscrew the outlet plate and removed, then plug this in and screw in with long screw provided. It sits flush and way nicer than the extension cord previously used.
This one has the ability to remain flush against the wall without removing the plate. It has been discussed and is pictured in this thread. HTH.Peace

I always wonder why they don't pick a better name to brand themselves. Look at Anker. Same Chinese stuff but it at least sounds better.
Because the "brand" is only a formality to satisfy Amazon's requirements. The vendors then make the brands as disposable as possible, so if bad reviews or regulators start coming around, they can ditch it and rebrand.

There is other brand with night light at same price.. Go for that rather than this
You say that as if having an annoying always-on light in my room when I want to sleep is a automatic plus. Will pay extra for no night light.

I bet you believe everything the government tells you as well. UL is not the be all, end all that you think they are.

Good luck explaining that to your insurance company when the house burns down. I mean use your exact "logic", hey brah, it is better to buy non UL listed. Betcha they cut you a check that day.
There is no obligation of NRTL tested stuff for private use hence no legal reason to deny coverage. That is if they can get to that level of detail.
And there are many more electrical safety issues to look at, honestly speaking. For one, I am very uncomfortable with charger which cannot be readily unplugged, certified or not. but... It's your house to burn!

Totally doesn't sound like a Chinese brand.

Of course not.

But it's got a recessed back and a screw or whatever. So who cares about safety?

Because listening to "SAtaNiCpAnIc"s conspiracy theories is way more legitimate right? 🤡

Not sure I follow that logic, or that you and I have the same definition of "proper" among other words. Part of the device HAS a recess, you can state that, but you didn't.

The title implies that the entire device is recessed. It also somehow implies that the device is flush to the wall. It can't be both, and like I said before, it is in-fact neither.

Here is the listing title on Amazon:

Nowhere in that title does it claim to be flush or recessed. Probably because Amazon would make them change it if it did.

Nowhere in the description does it even say any form of the word "recess"
In the middle of the second bullet-point paragraph in the description, it does say,

which is a misnomer, but given the person who wrote the description obviously isn't a native English speaker, I'll give them a pass. Either way, "Flush to..." and "Flush Against..." mean completely separate things, and the latter mentioned is arguably improper.

Saying the pictures make up for misleading text, I don't think I can get on board with that either. I can't list a car saying "Mustang For Sale" and then show pictures of a Volkswagen and not expect to get hassled.
Tell me you're not fun at parties without...
