Looks like a PM? Or is Nikon planning to reduce the price?

I'm not OP, but original price 800-850, for just the basic kit , this comes with extra lens and reduced price . It's a newer camera compared to the zve10

Looks like the price should be $946. Extra $250 instant rebate taken off twice.

Looks like you are correct. Same kit is $250 more at Adorama [adorama.com]. I was looking for a good deal on something like this, so I am in for one and will research this camera more after buying it. I don't want the deal to disappear.

I own the z50 and have used the z30. IQ is exactly the same between the two. As others have mentioned, the z50 has the viewfinder and popup flash. The z30 has the full articulating LCD screen. My advice will always be this-- If your purpose is to do more video than photos-- say at least 70% video, get the z30 since it has that articulating screen, doesn't have that 30min recording time limit at 4K, and has a little better autofocusing for video. If you're more 50-50 (50% video, 50% photo), or more into photography, the z50 is the better one due to the viewfinder, flash, and ergonomics. To me the z50 is the better all-arounder.

Thanks. Very helpful. Sounds like Z50 is what I would need.

This should be fine but check with the college first to see what they recommend. When I took a photography class they still wanted us to use a B&w film camera. That was 5 years ago. But I would ask before buying something. Now given the price of this, buy today ask them tomorrow.
