MyBikeShop.com is having a huge going out of business sale. Discounts on road and mountain biking componetns, frames, clothing, etc.. are on sale up to 95% off. There are limited items left but still some good deals to be had from big brands. Here are a few of my favorite that I found while browsing.Shipping is free over $99 with some restrictions.

Anyone jump on suspension fork deals (before the items went out of stock/delisted)?

Nice! Yeah other day there was a Manitou suspension fork (out of stock at the time) and RockShox Judy Gold RL 100mm… but both suspension forks appear to no longer available. Was curious to know if if there were any other suspension forks, before the ones I saw drop off from the site.

Got the Tacx Boost [mybikeshop.com] trainer for only a few bucks less. The Saris being fluid probably feels better, but I wanted the ability to change resistance manually on-the-fly... maybe i'll just buy both and sell whichever one I don't want for the price paid https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...es/biggrin.gif
I dont know if the included QR skewer will fit a 2022 Optimo 1, it states frame has 130x10 QR.

I'm well aware of the concept of unsprung weight but when it comes to climbing that hill, a pound lost is a a pound less carried up the hill. and I'd argue that the water bottle is attached to the bike and carries like unsprung weight.

If you don't need the hydration, there's no reason why you can't lose the bottle* AND ride a lighter weight bike.

*Or take a dump, pee, or lose some weight...

Crap website. Designed poorly, with no detailed views, and the page frames layout is like something from 20 years ago.

Nobody I know in the business gets those kinds of margins.
you guys all lie like hell. i've seen the price lists from trek, santa cruz and yeti. standard margin is 45% and some brands are 50 or fully doubling your money. trek is lol. a 5500 dollar retail bike has a dealer cost about 2800-2900 and it's even shipped 90% assembled.

bodyweight and bike weight aren't even close to the same thing. i'd rather have 10lbs in a pack vs 5lb extra on the bike. heavy bikes are literally AIDS or made for fat people who need the reinforcement. my favorite part is how the extreme greed of the bike companies now is marketing "weight doesn't matter" simply because it's far cheaper to make heavy frames and they have fewer warranty claims building tanks

Nope, bikes like that are typically a 30% margin. Less if ordered online. 30% is rarely enough to pay the rent and keep the lights on.

Perhaps what you saw was for an old or clearance model that would be sold for less.

i was literally playing around on the trek dealer portal. one of my friends owns a local shop. nice house, drives a new raptor. i just don't get why so many bike people lie their ass off on margin and play like they don't make anything. like no one believes you guys

Maybe you were looking at specials for employees or something. The typical margin on bikes is usually nothing near that.

or, if it was a price drop bike, maybe you were looking at the old retail price and the new wholesale price,
