This is easily the lowest it's ever been. Total steal for this price. Also, the stereoscopic 3D is very well implemented.

If you don't own the physical cartridge/media, you don't own the game.

At any moment, they can pull the store and you have nothing to show for your money. Try playing Super Mario 99 today -- you can't. But anyone with a 25-30+ year old NES cart of [insert name here] will still function just fine with an NES (or NES clone).
While I agree with you in theory even physical games are incomplete without downloads now days....

Portability really wins over physical cartridges tho. I lost my switch last year. Most of my 20+ games were online download. I only had to get a used switch and re downloaded the ones I play. Just buy physical if you absolutely want to keep it forever in a place that you will never forget.

The cheapest physical shovel knight is 10 times as much right now.

That's the cost of having control over your media.

Yes. And there are games I care about that much, not this one.

I have systems, tools, and objects from 20-30 years ago. I don't know what you're doing with your stuff where you're casually misplacing a $300 video game system with fistfuls of $30-$60 games.
Stolen... Is probably right. Was travelling. Walked back and called all the hotels.... Welp. It happens.Trust me I wasn't casual. was pretty upset for a week.

You took a highly sought-after, recognizable, high value video game console w/ games and accessories on vacation, left it unattended, and it was stolen? Especially one that can't be "locked" out remotely like one can do with mobiles?

Color me surprised.
Come on, there's no need to try and make someone feel bad about having their portable game system stolen on a trip.

We should turn our ire toward the companies that set up systems that incentivize digital purchases without any sort of guarantee that you can still play what you bought if your hardware gets stolen, your account gets compromised, your system clock battery runs out, the publisher's servers go down, etc.
