For $1300 it better be full atmos and orgasms.

At this price, you could pay for a decent discrete speaker system and have money left over to pay a contractor to run wires through the walls/ceilings for a clean looking install.
Yes, I realize not everyone has a room that will work well with placement of surround and Atmos satellites, but I have to argue that if you care enough about sound to spend $1700, then you would forcibly make a traditional discrete setup work or dedicate a room for home theater.

I mean, you're never getting anything above a really narrow 3.1 with this, so the bar is already set low.

There's a lot of 5.1 or greater setups in the $300-$700 range that feature fully wireless satellite channels and setups in the $150 range that only require power to the subwoofer.

Even if you aren't able to pop holes in the walls, you can get truer 5.1 for a lot less and have money left over to buy a midrange TV or projector.

I like Sennheiser's cans, but this is just more niche than they need to be.

While incredibly expensive for a sound bar, I can vouch for the sound quality being very legit. No, it won't give you a full atmos experience but it delivers just enough to add a nice dimension to the experience. And the dynamics, tone quality and overall coherence are very close to audiophile quality, vs my Sonos Arc which is decent but clearly still at a consumer home theater level.

Agree. The trade magazines (Hi-fi, etc.) feel this is the best home theater soundbar and experience short of a discrete speaker setup.

No, no, and no. Evidently, you haven't used Ambeo. It is a fantastic soundboard and even better "pair" of speakers for listening to whatever genre if tunes!

Ive used expensive speakers (5k+), cheap soundbars ($150 Target special) and too many mid- high range soundbars (Hta9, 990b, Ambeo has beautiful sound.

In a smaller room (think 20 x 30' with typical 8' ceilings) you will get Atmos experience that is oh so close to 990b.

For music listening, this thing is more like kef ls50s WITH kef kc62 (almost)

If you want a great pair of speakers AND better than "good" atmos in a "regular" room (no giant open plan vaulted cieling stuff) then you wont find a better set-up. At $1700, this is a GREAT price and if youve been wanting one, you WILL NOT REGRET it!

No doubt this is amazing but no sub for 1700$ is disappointing

With EPP or possibly other perks program, the Max can be had for $1,499.95 and the plus for $999.95. Also the Ambeo sub for $629.96.

For the price and according to reviews(similar performance with the max being better), I still went with Samsung 990b.

If you like bright sound and awesome mid range this is for you. I'm doing away with my Revel 20k system and got the Ambeo. It is not the same but it is damn good. You will need a decent sub for the low end.

I don't care HOW good the bar itself sounds....for $1700 there better be a wireless sub and wireless surrounds.

I just returned this soundbar. Lack of rears makes this not a good movie speaker. Also laskcs bass as it does not have designated unit but built in.

Vizio elevate would be a better choice. Lot cheaper too. Rears and sub included w upfiring atmos speakers.

Cannot imagine anyone saying lack of bass.

For all those complaining, would love to know what youre comparing to.

Unless you speak of high end systems , all the rest home theater in a box with sub cannot hold a candle to this

Then again, neither is the price. For the right room, there is no other. This is a delight to listen to.

Its a pity though they refuse to make rears. I don't understand and it could be something to behold if it did.

Assume it has to do with processing and not capable. Similar to 990b - if Samsung allowed extra pairn of front speakers and more sub or 3rd party sub, it would be untouchable !
