First issue I brought up after proposing was that I didn't want to wear a ring. I'm so glad my wife is fine with it.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the point of this silicone ring?
It is used in place of a wedding ring to show that one is married. Actual wedding rings can chip, bend, wear, etc so this is just an alternative for someone who wishes to show that they are married without wearing their expensive wedding band.

I've been wearing a similar brand for the last 2 years - will not ever go back to my traditional plat. band - greatly prefer these as of late: washing my hands constantly, working in the yard, swimming in the surf, lifting weights, rough housing with the dog, was at a Jerry Cantrell show last week in the mosh pit and lost one in the mix - no big deal, slapped another one on when I got home. Lost a little weight and bought another pack a half size down, thanks OP.

That's funny, I randomly listened to Alice In Chains today and was thinking about Jerry Cantrell's Boggy Depot album that I bought on release day back when I was a kid. I recently watched a documentary on the defunct Action Park in NJ that featured a short clip of Layne Staley and Cantrell goofing off there in a pool with Cantrell wearing goggles and a snorkel if I remember correctly. Totally at odds with their musical personas.

Another good reason is for working out or any sports related activities. Doing any weight lifting or workouts with bars is annoying and even painful at times with a metal ring. And like what others have said, if you lose one of these, it's no problem. I tend to wear a silicone ring for everything except formal events, to me it makes my original wedding ring all the more meaningful when I save it for special events.

Silicone rings are the way to go. I only wear my metal wedding ring for formal events.

or why not just not wear a ring?
My wife believes it prevents some women from flirting with me 🤷🏿 ♂️

Electricians also would use these instead of a metal ring for safety.

I returned these as the ring caused an allergic reaction on my finger.

I buy mine from Ali, Usually 2 or 3 bucks for a pack of 6.

I tend to loose them doing water sports.
