bonded leather = fake leather, similar to a hot dog compared to a piece of steak. bonded leather is made from the scrap pieces of leather and other bonding agents. it doesn't last like real leather

Bonded leather is a horrible material for anything . It will all start flaking off after a year or so and you'll be finding it on your clothes every time you get up.

I've been able to find used Steelcases second hand for under $30. Longest lasting office chairs I've owned.

I bought a couple of these. If you expect the quality of a $200+ chair, yes they are crap, but if you want the quality of a $100ish chair for half that price they do the job. You'll need to replace them in a year of heavy use but if you aren't using them often they'll last a few years easily.

I own this and got it for $42 in-store a month ago. Can't speak for longevity but it's typical sub >$100 quality. The bottom cushion itself was shockingly comfy though, holds up for 2+ hour sessions with ease for me.
