    Only been following "bluetooth thermostat" deals on slickdeals...this same brand had a different model that was just the dongle for $15 in february I looked at. This for $10 was a much better deal than the $15 dongle one...The one you found looks identical to this $10 one and was dropped down to $12.99 from $25 on March 1 according to keepa price history. For me $10 was well worth it to add a way for me to monitor things in my yet to be used smoker...at least this way I'll know if the tank runs out of fuel when the temp starts dropping. Wink

    Price is nice but don't understand the wire if it's Bluetooth. I know the photos are photoshopped but you're really gonna keep the probe in the oven/grill/smoker wherever with it partially open so you can monitor it on your phone?

    Is WiFi typically a better solution for a device like this, so you don't have to remain close to this device, or risk a disconnect?

    Or have people found a BT connecting to be enough typically?
