Exactly what's gonna happen if I order one.
I bought this to make a purge block for my exhaust runners. Shop was going to charge me 300 to make it. Bought it from woot for 230. Did the job with no problems and drilled straight. Wilwood brakes had holes too small for my bolts and this thing reamed like a champ. I've tapped steel and aluminum no problem.
Great intro/beginner drill press. I had this several years ago, and used the heck out of it. Upgraded to a powermatic floor standing version last year. Powermatic was over 10x more expensive, but only 3x better. That 3x though is many things this Wen just can't do.

If you are on the fence, I would do it. There is a good secondary market on Facebag & eBay if you find you don't use it.

Purchased this last year from the $230 Woot sale but unfortunately I have no feedback to offer as it remains in the box. The box is pretty heavy and arrived in good condition.

I'm not sure what they changed for "2021 model, but I bought mine before then. No wobble as mentioned here. Motor is a little weak but should be fine for most hobbyists. If you're buying one for regular use in metal, I'd get a higher powered floor standing model. The laser needs adjusted for every height change, so it's only worth setting up for identical operations. RPM change is smooth and much nicer than swapping belts. For my use and the price, I'm happy with it.

I do. I've had it for five, maybe six years.
My chuck came wobbly.
After removing it, cleaning it, and replacing it, I'm happy with the amount of runout it has.

I got this exact model back in 2017 for $154 shipped when Amazon and Walmart were price-warring on Wen items. Also got their bench planer at a similar price (which I later sold for more after I upgraded to a DW 735X), along with their combo disc+belt sander, and a hand planer.

I haven't used the drill press a ton, but it does what drill presses do, and mine hasn't skipped a beat. As another comment mentioned, the infinitely adjustable speed is really nice - beats the hell out of manually changing belt/pulleys like you have to do on many older drill presses (craigslist finds).

Chuck wise, mine's pretty good. I haven't put a dial indicator on it, but there's no visible wobble.

Had the 8" Wen and the bit would shift about 1/8-1/4" as soon as you pit some pressure on it to start to drill. Never really dug into why I just use a center punch and I make a pilot for it before I started drilling.
