My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Big difference. w/ Fiber you're not sharing with other people. Hands down, Sonic is best value internet out there. Also uncapped.
You haven't mentioned one thing that you do where 1000mbps is noticeably better than 200mbps.

Honestly I think 200 down is fine for most people but GD Comcast's upload speeds are absolute dog s***. (I say this as a current customer)

What? No. I do self install for $0 and xfinity mails me a coax cable which I throw into a box with the six others that they've sent throughout the years.

I don't have the option for self install. It is only giving me an option for $100 professional install

I'm lucky my community has the latest Xfinity infrastructure where we get symmetrical D/U speed, and pay the same amount as you guys….

Get this deal if available in your area. Some of the comments here are just a sad reflection of the mental decline of humanity. It's fast. It's cheap. It's no contract. It's a no brainer. In two years figure it out from there. Good luck.

I had a lot of issues with the signal noise and would get dropped packets randomly which caused disconnects in meetings. The guy came out and basically replaced the cable from outside box away from the house to box attached to the house. The previous cable was in a really bad shape and quite old. Solved all of my issues. This was when I had the service last year.
