My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Do we have actual confirmation that this promo is ending on 03/21/2023 or is it like a Kohl's sale...Talked to comcast rep said deals usually refresh at the start of the new month, they are not showing an 'end' date, just wondering.
It was advertised on TV and in store also, deal valid till 03.21

Thanks for posting this deal. I'm under a one year contract paying $55/month ending in May. I noticed early termination fee 110. How are people dealing with this? Biting the termination fees and goin with $25/month plan or fee won't apply if I add the new plan in the same account as my current plan which I guess will get cancelled after new account?

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

Had ZERO issue setting this up as a current non contract customer. Just went online (no incognito mode required as some are saying...) Signed up as a new user (wife) in the current address and used the Xfinity app to setup modem again. Done.

My Xfinity internet service was 400mpbs at $39.99 for 12month. I was at the last month of the promised rate, and the monthly bill was going to change to $99.99. I was looking for the way to reduce the future payment.

Thanks to the Slickdeals comments, I could set up the current 200mpbs at $25 for 24months, without term contract.
<btw, I could actually choose to renew the contract by having 12month term, 400mbps at $30/mo for 24 months as existing customer.>
I choose the get the current deal because I want to be ready to get any better deal at any time. (I am also a non-resident of USA but temporal with J visa; I don't know when I will leave!)

Here is what I did;
1) visit xfinity website using incognito mode (chrome), and find the prices by using the current address. (I chose as I am a new customer moving to this address)
2) choose 200mpbs deal and customize (flex device, xFi etc; my place said xFi complete for 20/mo so I just skipped it)
3) use the same name, phone, email. The system will say they found a matching account. I chose to link. They asked my BOD to verify the ID. Then I chose one of the registered payment option.
4) the order was placed, and I received several emails from Xfinity;
- Your Xfinity accounts are now linked (I see new account number after login with my comcast id)
- We received your cancellation request (service disconnected: internet and TV, as I received a flex device for free - I will return it)
- Thanks for choosing Xfinity
- Thanks, here is your Xfinity order confirmation (200 mbps one)
5) I am waiting for the old service to be stopped, then I will chat on xfinity app to reset my modem/router. (I have my own one, as xfinity did not offer a free rental previously)
6) I will bring the Flex device to one of the Xfinity shop for return. I am going to take a video of it, just for the case that they say the device is not returned

btw I am not sure if slickdeal rebate can work in incognito mode lol
Thanks for the instructions. I am able to do the same. I activated my new account and then called xfinity to make sure my old account was cancelled successfully.

So I just received my equipment for the xfi complete order I placed and they sent Arris Tg1682g and no xfi pod as I wanted.
Is that even xfi and xfi pod compatible?

My internet is still working. It will probably stop tonight. I will then call Xfinity for model resetting. Hope this will work!

Perhaps that was the case, I tried second time and it seemed like it worked. I received order confirmation and cancellation emails along with the verification code text message.
Nice. let us know if it really happens!

This might sound petty. But did anyone else receive a dirty, crudy XB3? I know it's not huge, but cleaning someone else's crap off a used modem is not something I'd like to do.

Guess I can try to swap it, but it's just so Comcast like for this to happen.

Any thoughts?
