If you made a new account in order to get the internet promotion like I had to do and you also have Xfinity Mobile then you need to call Xfinity Mobile separately to get your phone service transferred over as they apparently can't do it in store at the Xfinity stores.

I'm not sure when cable companies started billing for 200Mbps bandwidth and then again if you actually used the 200Mbps bandwidth with data usage charges.

I use Wow cable. At least their data charges were set to something ridiculously high. Not like Xfinity which is a total cash grab ponzi.

So you'd rather pay an exorbitant rate than rely on terrestrial TV (aka over the air TV) or other methods like DVD's and Blu-rays if your streaming habits got you close to any kind of data cap? That seems a bit unusual.

I've come close to the data cap in maybe 1-2 months since they instituted it here in northeastern Pennsylvania. With this promotion it's an extra $10 a month to remove the cap if I remember correctly. That's basically negating the $10 savings for doing autopay and using a checking account. So in the end you're back to $35 a month. That is really not bad compared with the alternative here, where Verizon will offer me 768Kbps (yes kilobytes) for $30 a month and balk at offering anything higher.

Those are my two options here unless I want to use satellite internet or hope that Frontier extends their lines to my neighborhood from their closest service area a mere eight blocks away.

Not to threadcap, had comcast for years, screw them.... Have frontier fiber and its great, no modem charge,no problem with wifi, have about 15 devices in house using it. So, if you have a choice, I'd recommend Frontier. (did have DSL and had issues with it).

Are you willing to lock your internet speed at 200mb for 2 years? A lot can change in two years. There was a time when people thought a T1 connection (1.54 Mbps) was enough speed to last them forever...
No need for more RAM dude, just put an Apple sticker on your devices and they'll go fastest!

Log into the app, click on section that says your account is always available, then click on your activity. it will show your data usage for the existing and preceding months.

The hilarious part is that you guys are reducing your internet speed even though internet is a big part of your life....just to save a few bucks
The internet is a big part of all our lives... you're over generalizing, or trolling Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) So you're saying that my grandparents who only use it for e-mails and to stream from Prime videos and was on Century link at 10Mbps doing all that just fine without buffering on the videos needs to not go to this plan that costs less than what they were paying before? I'll go tell them to switch back. laugh out loud

Or me who was on 800Mbps with Xfinity and just hit the end of my discount and was about to start paying double, yet was only getting around 300Mbps, and even when I had service at 25Mbps at the beginning of Covid was able to simultaneously do two separate Zoom meetings without hiccups, or stream Neftlix "4k" and Youtube without buffering, and load webpages at near-instant times... yeah, the only hilarious part is that I waste time reading and replying to silly people.

By your logic, driving is a big part of everyone's life, you should all be buying Lamborginis and Plaids and TrackHawks, otherwise you're increasing the time it takes between red lights... just to save a few bucks.

No lock on your rate for 2 years. You can leave anytime or change . This is not a contract just a price lock for 2 years good value if Xfinity is only game in town

Man, Xfinity sucks. 20 year customer here and they flip flopped with 3 chat reps and 2 phone reps on eligibility and price. Conflicting information as if I was eligible, if my order last week went through, offering a lowest rate over 2x current promo, etc. No one helped diddly, not even retention dept twice. I cancelled, signed up under another family member and now I'm good to go. F Xfinity
Yep, and their Mobile department is even worse. Don't go in expecting to be able to leave easily. I've written about my other nightmares with them years ago. I went back until I signed up with this new offer under a new account and had to take my lines out or pay extra for each line. I can't believe how hard it is to work with their system still.

If this hasn't already been said..
Thank you TMobile for creating competition in Monopolies(due to franchise agreements by municipalities) and therefore causing xfinity(and others) to reduce the internet price.

The writing is on the wall where the future is going.
