My wife and I take turns putting the account in our names every 2 years. We just alternate.

You're right. The standard plan doesn't include unlimited data. Most states have a 1.2TB/month soft data cap -- some North Eastern states are exempt from that data cap I believe. From what I understand, users who go over the data transferred per month are given one warning if they go over it the first time. The next months if they do go over the limit, they'll get charged something like $10 overage fee per 50GB, maximum of $100 overcharge fee. See: https://www.xfinity.com/support/a...ceed-usage

However, I am seeing that the Xfi Complete addon is available for $10/month extra bringing the total costs up to $35/month. For $35/month this plan still seems worth it with unlimited data and higher upload speeds (for select regions [reddit.com])***.

If anyone is going with this plan, I do recommend getting this "Xfi Complete" as it unlocks unlimited data caps (as opposed to 1.2TB without it), and it also unlocks upload speeds which for me tested out to be around 115Mbps, as opposed to something much less like 10Mbps without. For me, this add-on is essentially a required item.

For anyone's existing network setup, I actually didn't have to configure and/or make much changes to my network settings either. With Xfinity's gateway, I just logged in and switched to Bridge mode, which essentially made it a modem-only and then connected my router via ethernet wired, and everything worked as per my previous configuration I had with my previous internet service provider.

Those who signed up during the last week, are you able to redeem free Peacock? I read that after April 2nd, Peacock wont be included
Peacock was supposed to be included with my previous deal and after trying to sign in multiple times using the then current accounts information it always prompted me to "upgrade" or whatever. The people at the local Xfinity store assured me multiple times that it was included. Yet I never got it to work. I don't know if maybe they require you to use their Flex box to get it or not but it wasn't really worth it to me. With their penchant for charging for previously free devices I returned the box just in case they decided to slip in an extra $x for it eventually.

As it is their cell service went up about $2.50 once it got switched to the new account due to some wonderful new fees they added that aren't government required (or regulated), which is why I returned the box. Sneaky farkers.

Sorry if this has been asked before,

I noticed Flex is Free on the promo page, but according to this page. They will start charging for Flex at the end of April 2023
cabletv.com/xfinity/flex

Comcast term on the Flex page says xfinity.com/learn/flex

Does the promotion include Flex addon as long as you have Xfinity Internet Plan forever, for it just for 2 yrs promotion duration?

If you on have "basic" flex package (ie only use stream content that which don't require streaming subscription; Netflix, Hulu, Paramount plus) Does Comcast charge you other taxes for the flex service? In a nutshell, will my monthly service bill be the promotional rate ($25/$30/$35) depending on how I choose pay for the service (bank, cc, autopay)
I thought the Flex device is FREE to rent?

That's what they told me repeatedly. But with their tendency to change their T&C on a whim I would definitely keep an eye on my bill if I took the "free" box. That's why I'll be keeping an eye on the bill during this promotional period since even though they claimed that the gateway rental fee is waived for the two years I'm sure that the terms and conditions could change or they'll add in some extra fee(s) just because.

I guess I would return the flex device before May.

Tried to exchange the xb3 to a xb7 or 8 st our local store today and was denied. Person wasn't able to do it and manager wouldn't override it

On a side note, my wyze camera won't recognize the dual band. I tried splitting and it keeps it at 5ghz no matter what

I stupidly made a second account when apparently I didn't have to. They seem to have updated my under contract account to this deal... But now I seem to have two accounts, while Comcast claims they cannot see the other new account in the system.

I guess I should just return the second equipment set and flex box soon before they try to charge me, but I'm afraid it'll get lost in the system if my second account really somehow isn't findable...hopefully a rep at a physical store location can sort this out...

Does anyone know if I link my bank account for autopay but use my credit card to pay for it before autopay, if the $10 autopay will still apply?
Yes, the $10 Autopay Discount will remain. I had to do this a few times and it had no impact on the discount. They just want it so they can "Know" they have your payment coming on or before a specific date, instead of "Maybe" getting paid. ;P

Yeah, it's $10 per month remaining on the Contract. So it was an Additional $30 for me. ;P

Side Notes:
  • The store and CS reps all refused to give me the modem in the ad. So I'm running the garbage heap XB3 in Bridge Mode and using an actually decent router to manage my home network.
  • Peacock is no longer being included for new customers, and will be removed from Everyone in June Anyway. So don't count that as a perk of Xfinity anymore.
  • Your old account will stay up and you'll keep being charged until you turn in the equipment. Get on that as soon as your new service starts up. ;P

I'm still paying the $30 versus the $25 since there's no telling when or if they'll take an earlier payment than the stated date. For example I think both my phone and internet bills showed that they were going to process the payment TODAY. Yet I got notices thanking me for my payments either yesterday or late Friday.

So I don't trust them with my checking account information and don't want to risk them overdrawing it since I keep a bare minimum in there due to putting everything on the card nowadays and paying that off in one shot.

FYI: They've been airing a new commercial for this promotion with the fine print stating that the end date is now 4/23/23.

You tried resetting your Wyze Cam and reconnecting it to your new gateway WiFi? If not, you'll need to do that.

With the Wyze Cam plugged into power, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds. This will reset the camera. Good luck!
