This is brand new vs the refurbished deal being offered for $20 less through Onkyo direct. Return window isn't as good at Best Buy. 15 days if I recall correctly. Bestbuy is also offering 24 months financing, with the Best Buy card on Home theater Purchases of $999 and up or you can get 5% back with the bestbuy card and no financing.

I can't believe it's 2023 and we're still talking about Onkyo HDMI issues. They haven't had HDMI issues in ages.

Bestbuy has $300 off ( $1599-$300=$1299) on this receiver(RZ50).
It's a great deal for a receiver with Dirac.

So the new units are at the same price as the refurbs direct from Onkyo

Seems like a good deal on the best room correction system at anywhere near this price point

Give high consideration on running this with a separate amp

I have a 6 channel amp to pair with this, so I will need to use some it's internal amp channels. Is there a way to selectively turn off some of the amp channels to hopefully avoid its power limiting issue?

Nvm: Found the answer, it goes into power limiting mode even with no speakers connected using full pre outs.

The one posted is new. The other one direct from Onkyo is refurbished.

Same price on Amazon, thought about posting this deal myself.

I have had it for over a year and it has been great.

Crutchfield and Amazon both have it at same price, better return policy.

I am considering this but I can't get a straight impression on if the speaker calibration is better than Sony's 360 spatial audio.

I would hold out for the Sony measurements and reviews. That's supposed to *try* and compete with Dirac Live's flagship "active room treatment" for a fraction of the cost. This feature is typically only on the flagship AVR's like the denon avr-a1h ($6500 retail). Sony 360 avr's are supposed to be between $900-3300 or so.
