No, actually you don't need the cord to talk when using bluetooth. Only when you are plugged in when out of battery, you will talk to the microphone on the cord.

6 Months? I bought these in 2021 for the same price to give to my nephews and nieces as gifts. They're good enough quality and not so expensive that when the kids eventually break them, you feel bad.

I love being with my kids. So you're kinda a dick, why? Who goes after someones kids? What type of sick fark are you?

I give them headphones so they can listen to their phones on car trips. They use them sparingly.

I have personally used the headphones. They aren't heavy.

But the headphones would probably crush this old lady's neck.

Bought this last year. Good audio, but too much clamping force for an adult-size head, in my experience, even after trying to resize them using a volleyball or basketball overnight. My 17-year-old didn't like them, but they should be good for a 13-year-old or younger.
