These lightsynch versions specifically have issues with the sensor spinning out. Rapid mouse acceleration can produce some not so clutch results, but not super frequently. The lightsynch sensors are inferior to the prodigy and G Pro Wired (both have same exact shape). I prefer the sensor on my G Pro Wired, but the mouse feet are better for me on this lightsynch model for some reason (for sure more control/slower). Any of the wired counterparts felt better in hand than the G305 (same shape wireless, hero sens) because the battery throws off the entire balance of the mouse. No, foil/AAA Adapter +AAA does not fix the issue on the 305, just makes it a little less apparent.
