I have this exact parka from a previous year, bought from EddieBauer.com and it sucks. Almost no filling, super heavy shell. My kid refuses to wear it and prefers Lands End Expedition Parka which is much more lightweight, puffy, and warm. Not worth the price if your kid won't wear it.

My kid has the blue one and we hardly put any other layers besides a thin long sleeve. Water proof and heavy duty. The hood and inside is soft. Will buy again. We live in NYC so we have brutal winters and heavy winds.
