Anyone have experience with this? We've been drinking a lot more smoothies collectively as a family using our older ninja blender. Still works fine but is this worth the upgrade?
Reviews say they get a refurbished product..... I want to buy this but now I'm hesitant
If you check the q&a section they said it comes in the brown box since it's shipped by vitamix themselves and it does come with the 10 year warranty. I took it , hopefully no issue. If there is can always return it
Been holding out for a Vitamix deal like this. The only thing is, it looks like Best Buy is selling the blender without the bowl and cup attachments, which are a big part of the value prop for this one. Costs $140 for the cup and bowl starter kit, bringing the total to about $400 if you do want everything included in the package sold by Amazon for $450. Still not a bad deal, of course - and a great one if you don't care about the other containers.
Amazon purchases halve your warranty per Vitamix website. So this is a better option.
That said, they aren't authorized for online sales. Unsure how this will effect my purchase at BB, and CSR was unsure, so I did in store pickup to be safe.
Also yea, mine is obviously an inspected return or something.

which is why only buy these from Costco.... needed it twice!

Powerful blender at an excellent price. 10 year full parts labor and shipping both ways provides a great deal of security. This warranty only comes with new Ascent and new Venturist series and not refurbished.
Venturist has the power but not the sound insulation of the Ascent. It requires the use of Ascent self-detect containers unlike the Pro750 which can use legacy or self-detect containers. Some prefer the legacy containers with their black lids and handles.
Used on CL it would be hard to find at this price. Vitamix warranty adds considerable value especially on used which is great should you later decide to sell. Warranty is on the machine regardless of who owns it. No proof of purchase required. The serial number must be intact and never opened or modified. The container blade also has a laser-etched date. I wouldn't hesitate on a CL find if the price is right and it is still under warranty as long as it isn't the economy Explorian series.

$500 for their current kit though, and the PCA are pretty poorly built IMHO. Primary gripe with that deal is Costco doesn't sell it without all that extra kit.
But you're right. Most of the time I don't just buy something like this from Costco I regret it. I'm familiar with the Vitamix lineup and felt ok getting this. As @timbertop said, this would be a good price for CL and the warranty is on the device
Bought this when it was on sale for $300 and I still think that was a steal. I, too, was concerned about the review referencing a refurbished unit. I can assure you that they're brand new units. I even called Vitamix, gave them my serial number, and they confirmed that it's a new unit with a 10 year warranty. The confusion comes from the fact that these BB units are shipped in non-retail packaging directly from Vitamix. It comes packaged in a basic brown box with the Vitamix logo on it, like you'd expect from a typical refurb unit. Because of this poorly chosen packaging, the blender ends up being covered in particle fibers from the corrugated box during transit. This could lead someone to believe that the unit is not new. I just simply dusted it off. Why they decided to go this route? I have no clue. My best guess is that they can't use the retail packaging they've designed for Costco because this BB kit doesn't include some of the extras that the Costco bundle comes with but idk for sure.
Anyway, this is a fantastic deal at $300 and even more so at $266. You get the features of the Ascent line for less than the cost of the Explorian line - makes no sense tbh. If you're in the market for a Vitamix, choose this if you're looking for the best bang for your buck or choose the A3500 if money is not a factor and are willing to pay a premium for aesthetics.
