My 2 cents.

I have these. They are my set after trying so many. Got them at like 80 or 90 and for that I felt lucky. But headphones seem like such a subjective personal thing.

- the sound quality is what I like mainly. Rich, hear the more subtle instrumentation. These imho beat lower and medium tier stuff out of the water. And are high tier. Whether they are the high tier sound for you, I dont know.
- using on a Samsung and they have Samsung Scaleable Codec for bluetooth which imho helps the sound quality. Also UHQ codec avail too on my S23plus.
- heavier than ideal but because the sound quality is towards my subjective ideal I don't mind
- earcups round instead of earshaped which can be kind of annoying but because the sound quality is towards my subjective ideal I don't mind
- can't turn off ANC but because the sound quality is towards my subjective ideal I don't mind
- ANC is alright. Nothing amazing but good.
- doesn't super blast volume which I like as I am 50 and blasted way too much heavy metal through the decades. My phone literally warning beeped repeatedly when I had a few and was blasting heavy metal for too long on these. But it was great and I usually hate that stuff but it really kept me from too much volume too long.
- had Momentum 4 which I did very much like, but saved lots of dough selling those and getting these.
- these fold inward unlike Momentum 4
- might get another pair of these at this price just for backup
reaaaaaally wanted to buy this but reviews are telling me you can't turn the ANC off, it's just always on (and mediocre) and that kills it for me. Great if you don't care about that, so gets a thumbs up anyway!
"There's not even the facility to adjust the Y600NC active noise-cancelling - it's on, all the time, and there's nothing you can do about it."
https://www.t3.com/reviews/akg-y600nc-review

"The always-on active noise-cancelling falls into the 'good-not-great' category, too. Outside noise is diminished but not, strictly speaking, cancelled, and because there's no way to adjust it, let alone turn it off, it's a 'one size fits all' solution. And generally 'one size fits all' doesn't really fit anyone all that well."

was there a software update maybe? can't watch the youtube video at work.

Edit: no tax in ohio via HA's website (+2.5% SD cashback) with free 2 day shipping and free returns...giving these a whirl to see if they're any good.

I just verified that the Frequency response is 10 Hz - 24 kHz, so technically not Hi-Res. Any Hi-res recommendations within this price range?

I'm still rocking my first ANC Bluetooth headphones (Anker q20 life). Love them for the price and any ANC is amazing. But my daughter took 'em and I think I'm ready to step up. Was looking at these AKG's but at $60, should I wait for a deal and get the Sony XM4's ($180 refurb)?

Priorities in order:

1) ANC (I want the best)
2) sound quality
3) battery life
4) portability
5) comfort

Between the XM4, XM5, Bose 700 NC, and Sennheiser Momentum 4, I'm lost. And advice?
Q45s get em for $99 when they go back in promo

Drives? Like hdds? Those are just name engineered Seagate drives. ¡No bueno!
Not even the slightest true. I work with Samsung as they are a supplier of ours. They make exceptional drives.

Sennheiser is the best in your short list.

Sennheiser for best sound. Bose for best NC. Sony is a bit of both. The correct answer here is get the ones that fit you best. Everything else is irrelevant if you hate the fit. Also, don't bother with another pair of Anker or the AKG. They are not even in the same class.

It's a little a bummers that AKG doesn't seem to be as good in their wireless headphones as their wired ones.
I have a pair of wired AKG K702 and they are some of the most comfortable and best sounding headphones I tried (though for their size it's annoying that they don't add a 1/4 inch for the whole ear to fit easily).

That's like saying I review home audio for a living but haven't ever heard of Sony, Yamaha, marantz etc
you are comparing AKG to sony? Really? I am not familiar with AKG, but I do have ears.

How's the bass on these?
My fave headphones like these are a brand by the name of Tribit. I have their over the ear headset like this which is both wireless or has an auxiliary cable to go that route. Also have a bluetooth speaker they make. They are both amazing and have plenty of bass. The bluetooth speaker is crazy loud and clear for the size of it. Other than my galaxy buds they are my fave speakers ever. I'll get a link for them

Not to my ears but I'm no audiophile. I'm going to wear these in situations where noise cancelling isn't important (e.g. around the house). For flights, I'll still use my Boss QC 35. They still work great but they're beat up (e.g. leather band is peeling and not easily replaced).
FYI you can get replacement earpads that are just as good from amazon for ~$12. Ear pads are simple to remove and install. They usually come with a handy tool to help re-install the pads as well. I literally did this like 3 days ago because my 4 year old QC35s started peeling and the leather(pleather?) came off on the one side entirely.

I've replaced the ear pads a few times already -- changing the headband requires connecting wires and re-soldering together.
