These are the High Performance edition of batteries (for those tools that have extra contacts to draw more power). I particularly like the 6 Ah batteries as they're barely any heavier or larger than the 4 Ah battery pack. The 6 Ah battery provides more power(last longer) in a similar form factor as the 4 Ah battery. You can see the comparisons here on this linked reddit thread [reddit.com].

I've been hoping for the high-performance versions to go on sale. As a reference point a factory reconditioned (ie used) version of the 4 AH high performance is $79 at direct tools outlet: https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...t/ZRPBP004 and the 6 AH version is $99...

So this seems like a good deal to me! In for one pack.

Thanks for the heads up!

The description is somewhat woolly when it comes to compatibility with 12V systems. Will a 12V tool work with an 18V battery? Will a 12V charger charge a 18V battery?

The answer to both of those questions is no. They work on 18v tools only.

YOUTUBE THAT SHIT. Someone somewhere has done it, made a video and made it probably one of 2 ways. The 1st is they're going way further into the hows and why's of it or 2 not quite slow enough and you're going to have to watch it, pause it, rewind it or watch it over and over. But I'd bet dollars to donuts 🍩 it's on there. But it can't be that complicated honestly.

I have a bunch of Ryobi batteries, 2 of them are the 4.0 HP batteries, really good, longer life. for the couple dollars more, its totally worth it. I mean the standard 4.0 is no slouch, but the 4.0 HP has some more oomph to it !

Well, that was unnecessarily rude...

The guy just wanted to share in the excitement of YouTube possibly having this tutorial and you deny him his manner of speaking...

Just bought the pair of 9AH HP batteries for $179.
I suppose if you add the total Amp hours up, it checks out... lol $10 per AH

I use these on 2 of my 4 crazy carts. Great power and last a good amount of time. Go for it.
