I bought one a few years ago. Mine did not smell funny though. The cats love it & use it every day. After years of use, it's still holding up fairly well. The base is heavy & study which helps keeping it from flipping over. One of our cats even jumps on top & it has never fallen. Definitely a recommended buy, if you have cats.

I have one of these. Once it arrived, I needed to set it outside for 2 days to get rid of the strong adhesive smell. Besides that, my cat now seldomly uses this instead of the furniture.

I LOVE this thing. I bought it before Christmas when it was on sale. I read comments that so many ppl said that they loved it and that it holds up well. They are correct!!! While I know it's only been a few months, my 3 cats use it daily and you can't even tell it's been used yet! And I have 2 bigger/strong cats! Besides some cat hair on it, nothing is out of place. I also love how tall it is. My big boy can stretch and scratch. (Mine did not smell)

I've bought this twice over the years. Very heavy and sturdy, I also recommend the topper for it which is sold separately so the cat can jump on top. It's tall enough to give cats a full stretch and it holds up for years.

Thanks op. We got one of these years ago, its been great for our 3 cats. You can flip the vertical piece upside down after a couple years to get some more life out of it. Ours is pretty much used up but the cats still like it - finally time to replace it! tu and rep

I have never bought from chewy because I fear the dry food would be more mashed up then food at the store

Nope. The only new customer deals are the WELCOME code and periodic discounts on some foods on introductory Autoship subscriptions that you can cancel after the first shipment. Might stack, might not.

I don't think they sell replacement pads for this specifically. I've had this for a number of years and it's holding up well. Since my cat tends to reach as high as possible to scratch, most of the wear is near the top. I am hoping I can disassemble and flip the sisal portion to double the lifespan. In a few years I will then try to get some sisal (there are many etsy sellers selling various or custom sized sheets) and replace the material myself.
