Folding electric bikes us oxymoron because they're so heavy. Maybe it's meant to be stored as a small foot print rather than be portable

That's what I would assume. I'm interested in these for keeping stored in my van while travelling.

Sounds like a great use case for folding bikes. I'm wary of cheap electric bikes though. If the battery or motor fail, you're stuck with a heavier bike with more resistance from the dead motor than a normal bike.

Well, I have Schwinn Loop folding bike, which is 8 kilo lighter, but still I can't say it is portable. The best thing about its foldability is the fact that it can easily fit regular size car trunk. No other advantages. Also when folded it takes less space in your garage, but still on the floor only, you can't hang it, too heavy and bulky.
So this electric bike should be at least the same level as Schwinn Loop, but much better quality for the buck (according to specs it got aluminium frame and disk brakes ). Still zero reviews. ZERO, Karl !!! I would stay away.

Just about 250 reviews, people report issues with motor and charger, definitely stay away.

60 lbs is "light-ish" compared to the other electric bikes out there but I am curious how a 250w motor would handle all of that weight. It's still pretty compelling for the price if you really are curious on what the fuss is all about with ebikes.
