Great speaker i use for my garage gym. looks great and perfect amount of volume/bass for a garage without pissing off neighbors. would also be great for a dining room or study. not for critical listening obviously.

These work with the Sonos app. Sonos doesn't support extra front speakers with their soundbars. You can use two as a stereo pair, two as rear surrounds with a Sonos soundbar, or just one in any room you want to stream music too.

These are great speakers, we picked up a pair when pricing dropped to $150 for a short period with in-store pickup, works flawlessly with a pre-existing sonos system or on their own.

These are based on the old sonos one. Sonos just discontinued the ones and announced it's replacement so I'm guessing Ikea will soon come out with a new generation of speaker based on the new hardware.

Does it make these obsolete? No but sonos has a sh1ty history of dropping support for old products. At some point they will no longer be compatible with the latest sonos app (which you will need for the latest sonos hardware).

Kind of want them so I can gut the amp inside and use them on any passive speaker.
Guides available online on how to do that. You're basically making your own Sonos AMP.

I have two i use for surround sound with a Sonos Beam. I think they were great and have more aesthetic versatility. No idea if they would be good as front speakers, but I think it's possible with Sonos tech.
