Well...This was posted on 3/15 before Amazon annouced the new 9000 layoffs on 3/20.
Maybe they need to cut the funding for the promotion to pay severance packages...

I mean to be fair the link still says "Prime member exclusive: Prime Savings Buy a $50 Amazon eGift Card, Get $5 off" so at least at some point it existed. I can't speak to the terms or if the date range was correct, if there were limited quantities that got blasted through but it wasn't COMPLETELY out of thin air.

Not active 3/27 at 1.15pm (Pacific). The OP has copied the terms into this post (thanks) but importantly I still see them in Amazon in my account related to the offer, so theoretically the offer is still active even though it doesn't seem to work. Another reason for the offer to end (according to the terms) is when the (unknown) number of cards designated to this offer has sold out. If Amazon has changed its mind about this offer this could be a mechanism that could stop the offer from getting off the ground. (Setting available cards to one or zero). The offer info still has it going thru April (I forget the date, it's in the OP intro above) so I'll check back tomorrow and see if they've opened up. If not, there's only so much effort I'm prepared to put into a $5 freebie and I've already bust thru that, so I guess I just lied. Fingers crossed it opens soon. Good luck!
