I wanted to like this. Seemed like a great idea. First arrived shattered into pieces. Replacement had a chunk battered off the top. Both times Walmart required that I repack it and wrestle it outside for a pickup and return. It's packed with the thinnest styrofoam and a soft thin cardboard box. I don't know if any survive shipping.

I'm not paying Walmart to assign me more work.

Have one of these, with matching end tables. Extremely wobbly and cheap. Looks decent, but that's about it.

Got one the last time this deal was posted and it's served me well. I like being able to raise the table to eat or write, etc. I don't find it flimsy imo

Assembly was a pain (Ikea-like) and the only defect I found was that one of those handles (purely aesthetic) fell off because of poor threading.

Maybe I've been lucky

I've had mine for a few years now. It's been pretty good. Guess I was lucky to receive it intact. The mechanism for rising has gotten stiffer over time, but that's actually a little better so it doesn't close on its own. I'd recommend it if you're lucky enough for it to come in unbroken.

I got this in the middle of the pandemic. I didn't have any issues with it being damaged. I also didn't have any issues putting it together properly and making sure all screws were tight with a thread of glue. After almost two years, the only issue I have is that the top starts to scratch and wear off.

At this point, because it was so cheap, I decided to do some upgrades. Since this is in my office/man cave.. I bought a metal wire mesh magazine holder and attached it to the side of this table for my iPad to hand out in while not in use. Due to the scratching, I bought one of those extra large mouse pad on Amazon and wrapped the top completely.

I have gotten my money out of it and then some.

The only thing I would change is to have the ability to flip the top over to have a simple 1" cloth cushion, so when you flip it over, you can use the table as foot ottoman as well.

That's the best line. Shopping through Walmart is assigning yourself work!

The last couple times I broke my rule and shopped there I had to do WORK for nothing. Bought an iPhone that wasn't activated, ended up costing me time and money.

Stop buying things from Walmart over $20

I've bought two of these tables over the last few years. Mine arrived undamaged and have been rock solid. I bought the first one for PC gaming in my home theater- just raise the top and it's just like gaming at a computer desk (only with 77" OLED monitor and killer surround sound). Works equally well for snacks / meals during a streaming binge. Highly recommended.

Bought this at Christmas for my daughter the last time the deal was posted. Arrived without damage. Was a total pain to put together. Smaller than expected. The finish reminds me of contact paper which I promptly scratched during assembly. Cheap enough that when the grandkids ultimately damage or color it, it's nothing to fret over
