In most parts of the world, this would be considered a very casual bribe or greasing the wheels etc. It's just that we don't see it too often in our everyday mundane activities here, so people often confuse what is actually really bribing with tipping. Tipping is usually given for good service, and usually after the service has been offered. There is a fine line.
In many parts of the world, there is so much low level corruption that you have to bribe your way through pretty much all aspects of daily life. Here in the US we only see that kind of influence welding on a higher and bigger scale, politicians etc
Albeit, I didn't click the link to see the rest of the list. But the list above is terrible. The only thing that's missing is circus circus. 😂

9/10 times the resort fees were waived. The one time they weren't, I inquired while checking out saying something like 'When I checked in I was told the resort fees were going to be waived'. That person then took them off the bill.

Also to others, there's Only a few hotels off strip that no longer charge resort fees, but if you're staying at igh or Marriott chain do these apply?
For that I'm out.
It's ridiculous how much they are charging now for parking. I missed the good old days when parking was free at every single resort.
