My lint trap is only so good (and I mean, not so good lol) - so i have to reach in and try to grab what it misses. I think that is what this is for.

In for 1, because it is $2.14 and I needed a few things anyways, so I got it shipped for nothing.

It's 2 bucks. I've wasted that on far dumber things than this. Definitely not worth going to the store or paying for shipping on though. Ironically, my store has them in stock. If it is junk, so what, it's 2 dollars.

You have to use something like this (or possibly a vacuum attachment as someone else mentioned) to get the lint out from the lint trap area itself that doesn't stick to the mesh trap or gets on down. I have to do this quite often. I also use it when I have to clean my dryer vents and brush from the back side. If you don't, the dryer will be less efficient, and may even cause problems with it working at all eventually. That's depending on various factors, of course.
