If you intend on standing more than sitting then - per my physical therapist - you want something where your elbow can rest on the table. Without that, you end up using your shoulder / upper back muscles to move your mouse. Those muscles aren't meant for that over prolonged periods.

I know. That's how I met my physical therapist. Whether standing or sitting I plant my elbow and use my forearm, not my shoulder. It helps a lot.
