Weight of the soil should keep them in place. You can also stake them in for extra security if needed.

1mm thickness = 19 gauge

Trying to figure out if that's better or worse than what other kits offer. Just looking at plain panels on lowe's [lowes.com]it seems like this price is just as cheap as trying to DIY (those are $22 for 2'x8' panels and they are thinner).

edit: you can make a 4'x3'x1' tall box out of cedar for about $20 in cedar fence pickets. I used cedar 4x4s for the corners, so that was another $20 worth of wood (1/2 of a 4x4x8' for each box). in theory the galvanized is going to last longer but I don't have any reason to believe 'sunnydaze' is using the highest quality materials here.

edit: most of the corrugated steel roofing panels that I've found at the home improvement stores seem to be 28-30 gauge (Menard's is .010" to .0127" which is .254mm or 30 gauge). Lowe's economy panels from Union Corrugating says similar specs in the Q&A on the website (anything from 29 to 33 gauge).

A company called "ollegardens.com" says theirs are .6mm, and the Best Seller on Amazon [amazon.com] says theirs is .78mm.
