Amazon has sold this DVD set for $15.99 in the past, so it's definitely not the lowest price ever.

It was by Mill Creek who is notorious at subpar Bluray releases, so you're probably right that the Bluray set is not a major improvement. However, the Bluray set was under $30 in the past before it went OOP so at that price it might have been enough of an upgrade to some people.

If you want the Bluray set, you're stuck with marketplace resellers probably around $100 or you could try to order the set from Germany if it has the right region encoding for you. Sometimes US marketplace sellers sell foreign sets.

Correct. I have the Blu. I don't have the SD DVDs to compare but I was disappointed. Still my all time favorite show.
