EDIT: If you carefully read the article you linked, there are as many cited benefits from canola oils as risks. I'm not advocating either way, but you're posting a warning while seemingly cherry-picking facts, and it's not entirely clear that any of this dog food contains canola oil.

I did "carefully read the article" I linked. I clearly lists a bunch of studies in animals showing concerns including studies showing "decreased life span." How did I "cherry pick" when as you say the article I linked also shows some positives? It was a balanced article that lists the pros and cons, not a scare-mongering/only-negative article.
It cannot be denied that Canola oil is plant based, GMO, full of Omega 6 (bad) and it's "Refined, Bleached and Deodorized (RBD)." If you want to feed that to yourself or your dog(s), go ahead. It is not found in a dog's or human's natural diet so probably better to avoid in my opinion. Make your own decision.
Seriously, get a big pot, dump all the ingredients and cook it once a week.
I'm in shock how much dog food is AND just ridiculous humans are buying the crap.
There are TONS of recipes, all easy, and all using stuff you'd buy for yourself. Unless you never cook yourself, I don't get dog food. Biggest farce of the century (and last century too!)

I'm comparing to "quality dog food" normal prices, a mix of kibble and can. Mostly large dogs (60 lbs ++). I never had a small dog but what I gather is they don't eat much at all.
But a hungry active Shepard or Retriever? I'd be broke if I did the "quality" / "premium" dog food.
Most important, is health. I simply do not trust, will never trust dog food. Heck, I barely trust any processed human food, even quality, organic boutique brand etc. I can only imagine for dogs.
