We have one for our 6 year old and she likes it but the 9 year old is obsessed with it and always trying to convince the younger one to let her play with it. In for one for upcoming 10th birthday

The purple one is on sale for a few dollars more at Target. If you have two kids then get one pink and one purple so they can trade fairies.

I went through about five of these and none worked. Kept exchanging them thinking I just got a defective unit, but they all had the same problem where they would just glitch out and had to be reset to work properly (restarting unit). At this price it's still worth it, but just be aware that your kid may be disappointed with it not working properly.

this looks like a huge plastic piece of junk that won't work and just cause mass hysteria and tears between my 3 kids that will just eat batteries and get thrown out in 3 weeks.

it's one of those toys that kids will mess around with briefly for the "new toy" factor. However, my two kids (8 and 4) never touched it after the first week from christmas. I think it might be more worth it for the warmer weather when they are frolicking around in the backyard. Still I would say it's worth it at that price as kids do get some joy out of it. Definitely a "decent" gift that looks pricier than it is

My daughter set this thing down after a couple minutes and hasn't touched it since. the toy lights up but the screen doesn't light up so you'll need to be in a place with good lighting to see it. But the neon lights are too dim so you can't see it in the daylight. Kinda useless

Basically like a Tamagotchi, crossed with Pokemon Go, but with none of the challenge. It claims that it knows when you go to different places, and gives you different fairies based on your location. It's somehow compatible with the one released last year, and the tiny one with baby fairies released this year. You basically need all three to get the most out of all three of them. Which was originally a large cash investment of about $140. But, on clearance, these are much more palatable. Not sure if the different colors come with different fairies, but I do know that Walmart usually gets it's own exclusive lantern color.
