I bought this laptop from best buy and returned it same week, it's beautiful laptop but overheating like crazy to the point it was unusable
The 1280p runs hot very hot and likely you won't get the full potential of the CPU. It throttles down like crazy. Also at this price point you should be getting a dgpu not this crappy last gen igpu. This is pretty much an expensive brick.
I'm not sure if the listing for "hdvisionworks" is accurate, but one part of their description lists 1366 x 768 as the resolution.
Another part on their 'specifications' says its a 4k screen.
Provantage is overall, a trustworthy 'supplier' or middle-man company. The 'special order' items are hit and miss for accurate delivery dates. But for items that are 'in-stock', Provantage is reputable.
HDvisioworks is a complete unknown to me.

No, this is more in line with ultrabook class laptops. None of which will you find a dgpu for anywhere near this price.
This is a great price, i got one of these for work from my company a few months ago as my yearly upgrade. We order through provantage and their customer service historically has been great to deal with.
This laptop is overall a pretty solid machine. We paid $1600 or so for it back in Jan. The display is incredible and comes pre-calibrated via xrite from the factory. RAM is soldered on the board so is not user upgradable, but with 32gb of ddr5 i don't foresee that being an issue for most use cases.
Battery life is pretty decent considering it's in the 'ultra portable ' class being thin and weighing in around 3lbs. USB connectivity is great with 3 USBC ports all supporting Thunderbolt 4. Overall I'm pleased with the laptop and have used it daily for 3 months, at this price it's a solid deal for this class of laptop.
I returned mine because it overheated from basic slack development while also doing background task. I'm sure I got a bad quality control unit but it still hurts me dropping those funds for the purchase.
Not a great deal.. Costco had these with ARC discrete GPUs for $900 in December. I have one: (16 inch touchscreen). Excellent screen and keyboard. Very nice ram and compute power... Battery life is awful, even web browsing. My 7 year old 13 in 2k screen HP spectre lasts much longer.
I wanted discrete GPU for some machine learning work..it suits me. Love the screen!

Also, the keyboard is nothing compared to the ThinkPad or even Yoga series.
