Dumb. That is like saying Costco toilet paper is $70 because you need a membership.

Anyway, they are have a deal right now that is giving $10 rewards when you sign up. So the membership is $5 if you want to buy something.

Tempting since the right bumper on my Xbox One controller I've been using on my PC just broke recently. I've been using my Steam Controller, but I don't care for it.

Sorry but I'm just not interested in buying an annual membership to GameStop. This isn't a good enough deal, there aren't enough deals other deals to benefit from the membership, and despite the weirdos on Reddit gaming the stock price to get rich quick GameStop is a lousy company with no future outlook for success.

Trash rewards system now. $5 rewards don't stack and even certificates don't work on discounted items, only full price

It's fine for a free pack of Pokémon cards a month. Accumulated points can be used to renew the membership too.
