Sorry but I'm just not interested in buying an annual membership to GameStop. This isn't a good enough deal, there aren't enough deals other deals to benefit from the membership, and despite the weirdos on Reddit gaming the stock price to get rich quick GameStop is a lousy company with no future outlook for success.
The fact you called out the stock for no reason at all tells me everything I need to know about you.
Onto the actual topic of conversation, if you break controllers as often as I do because you play Rocket League, make sure to get the 2 year warranty. You can bring the controller back into any GameStop store and get a free replacement. Each replacement takes 1 year off the warranty, so you effectively get two free replacement controllers (as long as you return the first within the first year).
With how many GameStop locations there are, this makes it one of the best warranty policies available for Xbox controllers. And my controllers almost never last me an entire year.
Trash rewards system now. $5 rewards don't stack and even certificates don't work on discounted items, only full price
And they expire on the 30th of the month. I miss the old system where you got 10% off all pre-owned items in the store. Also miss when Black Friday was pretty awesome there; it wasn't uncommon for them to do B1G1 or even B1G2 game sales.
Yeah... you're obviously behind the times since GameStop's stock hasn't changed that dramatically in the past year.
LMAO started the year at $35, down to $23 today. If you're playing the pump-and-dump game to take advantage of the swings it's great but the long term decline is inevitable.
Video games are headed towards a subscription model, just like all other software, and in a world where sales are digital and the subscription is provided by the console manufacturer there's no room for a retailer like GameStop.
Haha. I've been hearing this exact sentiment for 20 years. Just like when Best Buy wasn't going to make it because of Amazon and them ruining the gamers club.

GME being a meme stock is important to the discussion because people who bought in are using SlickDeals to promote weak deals from GameStop to try to boost sales numbers and get people to sign up for their Pro Membership.
But you make a good point. While GameStop's Pro Membership won't be worth it for most people, children who can't control themselves enough to not throw controllers at the wall when they loose video games might get a lot of value out of it.
any difference between this and regular Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controllers besides the cable?
I am also interested in knowing what makes these specific for Series X. Is it better to buy this one if you have Series X compared to other xbox controllers on sale on SD?

Anyway, they are have a deal right now that is giving $10 rewards when you sign up. So the membership is $5 if you want to buy something.
