A solid, if not great game, IMO. It felt like "A Link to the Past with vampires" when it came out, and 15 years later, I still feel about the same.

Where it excelled was in laying the groundwork with its rich world and characters for its much-improved sequels.

VAE VICTUS! Gosh this game was mindblowing when it first came out. Everything about it was fantastic. Story, combat, interesting systems.

I haven't played it in a long time, so it's probably kind of dated. Def worth a buck though!

A solid, if not great game, IMO. It felt like "A Link to the Past with vampires" when it came out, and 15 years later, I still feel about the same.

Where it excelled was in laying the groundwork with its rich world and characters for its much-improved sequels.

Woooaaaah! Talk about a blast from the past! This game sucks, IMO, but it's got some good lore and the story's cool. Definitely makes soul reaver even more fun to play.

You had me thinking I misremembered my childhood so I had to go look it up. It was on the PS1. That's how I played it. Maybe you meant that you wish it was playable on current consoles.

Glad I found some fellow PS1 folks in here. This was one of the first games I had on the PS1. It was amazing! Coming from NES, SNES, and then to PS1 and this game was a HUGE mind blowing experience for me growing up.

Been on my wishlist since I joined Gog and just the price I been waiting for. As for this one, I only played the ps one version and I only beat it in part to get the lore for the other games I don't think I would have stuck with it and finished it otherwise. I'll play it again though and do a run through of the whole series again.

Loved this game back in the PS1 days, but cant imagine it holds up. May have to try it again though, high nostalgia factor for me on this one.
