1. Not real wood if this matters to you, if mounting heavy monitors it could bend the material.
2. The top looks to come in 2 pieces split down the center which i would prefer a solid piece

It'll depend on how much weight you're putting on it. There is a bar underneath that goes across for support. As long you don't go over the weight limit and not standing on the center of the table, I think it'll be fine for the average user.
You could reinforce it if you want. Add a few more bars underneath it.
There is no such thing as real wood in 2023. Real wood only exists in Home Depot....
Since you mentioned it, you can go to Home Depot and buy a real wood butcher block for $175, stain and coat it for $20, and attach it to a high quality electric frame for $250 or so.
If anyone really wants wood, that's what I just did, it was a fairly simple project.
