Wait so the 40% is baked into the price? The coupon is 40$ off, and you have to remove the free shipping to use the 40$ off coupon. I'm tired already…. Sigh.
It probably gets confusing at some point for SD staff who post Dell refurb deals every day (if not multiple times a day).
I brought a 5540 touch with no OS for $479 and cannot wait to get it after I read your comments.

Got two laptops over the past couple of weeks. One is great. One has serious keyboard problems (certain keys don't properly register unless you press them very hard).
They say returns are at customer expense, which if it's because you don't like it, I get. But for a defect out of the box? I don't want to pay for that.
