I was in Costco yesterday in South San Francisco, CA. Brought 3lbs of Walnuts for $7.99. That's just $2.66lb.

Must be an oversupply of walnuts. I don't recall a price this low.

I was in Costco yesterday in South San Francisco, CA. Brought 3lbs of Walnuts for $7.99. That's just $2.66lb.

Must be an oversupply of walnuts. I don't recall a price this low.

Yes I've noticed weird walnut pricing too. We eat a lot of walnuts. Go through about 1 3lbs bag from Costco every month. Pre COVID price was around 10.xx. then through 2021-2022 price slowly crept up to $12.99 in a few steps like other things that inflated in price. But then the past 6 months or so the price has been coming back down. It dropped to like $10.99, then 10.49, 9.99, and then a few weeks ago I went it was 9.49, less than even before this big inflation hit.

This 8 oz is half a pound , according to comment above about Costco, this deal in particular is $5.4 a pound ....

I got these a few weeks ago when this deal was available, and the walnuts were rancid. I was able to get a refund when I used customer service chat, but that bite of walnuts really sucked.
