It might but everyone in a recent Bodium tea kettle thread said the same thing and it doesn't, unless you're counting the Max line insert. Which never touches the water and I'm not.

The plastic is well above the max fill line. I've had this kettle for ~2.5 years and it's worked great!

Can anyone recommend an electrical kettle that is all stainless steel?

Those ones on Amazon seem to all have some plastic in the kettle.

I have one of these for a while, it's a great kettle.

The only plastic is the "Max Fill" indicator which is never in contact with the water. Other than that the internals are stainless steel, unlike the cheap Amazon Chinese kettles that somehow rust after a while despite being "stainless".

Mia Chantal. The only minor issue is that the capacity is smallish. But finishes boil in 5 minutes. Occassionally on sale at Macys.
