I work at a large, conservative financial services firm HQ. Nobody wears ties anymore unless on a client meeting or interview. The uniform du jour is dressy jeans or slacks (Lululemon ftw), a blazer and "dressy casual" shoes like these. Even our clients are thrown off by ties and appreciate a professional, casual attire.
