Saying nothing negative about this thread, but before big companies extended their greedflation to groceries, my Kroger (Smiths in Southern NV) frequently had their brand of peanut butter for $.99/16 oz jar. Last few months, no such luck. This week though (and I know this is regional) they brought back that price point. So the equivalent for a 40 oz jar is two and a half of these which would be about $2.48.

Just for info.

Now that is quite the rip off from Rock and Deb's store! I just paid $4.95 for 5 of these jars and they are selling two of them for $12.65...........my my but that takes some guts. The irony is that there are a few shoppers somewhere that will probably buy this!

The last time I bought a pack of Jif like this from Amazon, they announced a recall and I had to throw them away. However, after a few months Jif made good and sent me 3 coupons for up to $3.50 off on three future purchases.

1. For people talking about inferior peanut butters being cheaper: you are correct that inferior peanut butter is cheaper. (if you can't tell the difference, lucky you)
2. No crunchy, no care.
