Takes 2 minutes with an immersion blender and some common ingredients (egg, oil, mustard, lemon) and its world changing, kind of like when you go to a restaurant and wonder why the mayo there is so good.

So... this large squeeze container in the OP is 25oz, but according to a quick Google search, there is only 1.613 eggs in a 30 oz container. This means there are .05376 eggs per oz of Hellman's Real Mayo. So, therefore, a 25 oz container of Hellman's Mayo contains only 25 x .05376 = 1.34 eggs. Unilever, the owner of the Hellman's brand is obviously buying eggs at a very low wholesale price, but even I can buy two dozen cage-free eggs at Costco for under about $6.49 (at retail), which is about 27 cents per egg. So...., even at retail prices, a 25 oz container of Hellman's contains only about $0.27 x 1.34 = $0.36 worth of eggs at Costco prices. So, 36 cents is the total cost at todays price - even if the increased price today has doubled, that means the cost of the eggs in a 25 oz bottle of Hellman's has only increased by maybe 18 cents. So... don't blame the price increase in Mayo on egg prices - egg price increases are more of an excuse than an actual explanation. The extra cost of eggs only contributes about 18 cents to the price of a 25oz bottle of Mayo - at BEST. To be fair, the big increase in the price of canola oil likely has more to do with the price increase of Mayo than the increase in egg prices.

That's JUST the eggs. I used that as an example because it's well known how crazy egg prices have been. But everything has gone up, including the packaging and labor.
