Are there any pros/cons to this Mastercard Gift Card versus the Visa one that also regularly has this same deal at Staples?

Thanks Thinker! Unfortunately my two closest Staples always seem to be out of MC the whole week. Visa is easier to get. I will try to stock on MC if they have them since I have to bring the car in for some work next week.

The site for registering the Mastercards sometimes has issues, and I've never had any such issues with the Visa cards.

And personally, I shop frequently at Costco, which accepts Visa and not Mastercard. Otherwise, I can't think of any other differences.

Thanks for the info, this is exactly the type of stuff I was wondering about.

They're debit cards so I use these at Costco, no issues.only difference is that you have to enter the PIN.

For VISA, If you hit cancel on the keypad it will switch to CR and you do not have to enter pin.

for MC, you have to use as debit and enter PIN because Costco doesn't take MC.

Always fun adventure to get these nowadays. I called my closest Staples about an hour after they opened and they said there was a line out the door for these when they opened and they sold out $10k plus of these within 15 minutes.

Called the next store in the afternoon, they said they had plenty. I went an hour before closing so I could pick up dinner next door and saw the guy in front of me take all of them. Asked the checkout guy, he said they just found a box, gave me what I needed. He then restocked the shelves and said these have been flying off recently.

Used Chase Ink for 5% cb and need some for car repairs and medical bills.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of this.

Is it possible to get cash back on these? I used one at Walmart at the self check and was prompted with a cash back option, but didn't know if this was possible at these cards, and if so, where. Thanks
